The melonotypes of Juan Alonso question in a definite manner the photographic mean. If one is to think that photography has been defined as the writing of the light, the images this artist imprints in the skin of the naked back of his models are established as a writing of light in the strictest sense of the word. Once the image is  printed in the skin, the artist proceeds to make a photographic register of his work in a way that these registers become the photography of a photography.
