Visual artist from the University of los Andes, Specialist in Studies on Visual Culture from the University of Barcelona and M.A. in Fine and Visual Arts from the National University of Colombia. His work has been developed in the areas of photography and video art mainly. His work has been presented at exhibitions and festivals in Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Canada and the USA.

He represented Colombia in the X Biennial of Cuenca, Ecuador, in 2009 and in the XVIII Biennial of Art in Cerveira, Portugal, in 2015. In 2010 he was in the artistic residence "Fronteras México" in Tijuana. In 2012 in the laboratory of creation of the Off Courts Trouville Festival, in France and in 2016 at the artistic residence of the Cerveira Biennial (Portugal). In 2011, he obtained a scholarship from the Colombia Film Development Fund to make a documentary on photoagüitas entitled “The Last Craftsmen of Light”.

He has also carried out various curatorships of exhibitions such as the exhibition “Facades” for the “XX International Biennial of Art of Cerveira”, Portugal 2018; and he is co-director of the International Video Art Festival, Videograma.

He is currently Co-Editor of Malevo Editores and in April 2019 the first book entitled “Photodramas. Tales of Love and Betrayal ”.

His work is part of art collections in places such as the Museum of New Mexico History (USA), Casoria Museum of Contemporary Art (Italy), Cerveira Biennial Foundation (Portugal), Cuenca Biennial Foundation (Ecuador), Benetton Foundation (Italy), Datalogic (Spain) and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá.

At the academic level, he has written various articles for university magazines and given talks, seminars and conferences nationally and internationally. He is a professor in the Art Department of the Universidad de los Andes, professor in the Department of Visual Arts of the Javeriana University and professor in the Specialization in Photography at the National University of Colombia, in Bogotá.
