Curatorial Text:

Videograma is a festival organized in Colombia with the purpose of creating a specialized space for the encounter and debate around the multiple practices of video within the contemporary visual arts. This initiative aims at linking new audiences to the growing production of video art and the different places of circulation as the public space and the traditional spaces of exhibition.

This first version of Videograma will make special emphasis to public space by proposing three places of encounter in the urban space looking for an increase in the number of spectators, linking artists, students and common people who walk by the spaces of the sample. The selected works will be grouped in three curatorial axes intending to give visibility to this gender in Colombia with national and international representatives and with presence in different spaces of the city. This Festival was presented in Bogotá, Cali and Pereira, Colombia, and for October 2016 it was invited to be presented at th "VIII Tashkent Biennial of Contemporary Art" in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
